Hilton has offered HfP readers the exclusive opportunity to win a money-can’t-buy prize for any Formula 1 fan. Get your racing gloves ready!

Hilton is giving one lucky winner and a friend the chance to experience an unforgettable sleepover inside the prestigious McLaren Technology Centre in Woking during the weekend of the Australian Grand Prix (1st-2nd April).

This genuinely unique prize includes:

  • A full tour of the McLaren Technology Centre
  • An afternoon of activities including the Pit-Stop Challenge.
  • Evening meal at the McLaren Technology Centre followed by further activities and entertainment
  • A night’s accommodation in a double bed on the iconic Boulevard
  • Exclusive Australian Grand Prix live screening with breakfast and snack provided

The experience is just part of the benefits Hilton offers that make its guests feel cared for – with amazing service, confirmed connecting rooms, pet-friendly properties and contactless check-in and digital keys available through the Hilton Honors app.

This unique, behind the scenes package is for two people. On Saturday afternoon, you will experience a full tour of the centre and take part in various activities including the Pit-Stop Challenge, followed by interactive activities and entertainment after a delicious evening meal.

You’ll then head off to your very own bed on the iconic Boulevard ahead of an early rise the next day, where you’ll be woken to watch the Australian Grand Prix at an exclusive live screening. Breakfast and other snacks will be provided.

To enter, please head to the widget at the bottom of the article and answer a simple multiple choice question and provide your details so that we can contact the winner. If you have any problems viewing the widget, please use this page to access the competition on a landing page.

The competition closes THIS SUNDAY 12th March.

Please note that both you and your guest must be over 18 to attend.

Hilton Honors Experiences

The competition is all part of Hilton Honors Experiences, which offers Hilton Honors members exclusive access to a variety of events and entertainment using points to purchase tickets.

The winner will be joined by some other lucky Hilton Honors members who recently redeemed points for packages to attend via the Hilton Experiences platform.

Some of these experiences are genuinely exciting. Rob, Rhys and I went along to a ‘surprise guest’ Hilton Honors Experiences concert last Christmas at Hilton London Metropole and the surprise guest was British artist Stormzy. Bearing in mind this is an artist who sold out the O2 three times over last year, Stormzy playing an intimate performance 10 feet away from your comfortable armchair with complimentary champagne in hand really is a money-can’t-buy experience.

For F1 fans, the Hilton sponsorship of McLaren continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. As well offering tickets to the British Grand Prix, other F1 Experiences that have been offered in the past include having Lando Norris picking your child up from school in a McLaren supercar (see it on YouTube here) and a virtual race against one of the F1 drivers – all redeemable with Hilton Honors points.

Thanks very much to Hilton Honors for providing us with this prize and best of luck to everyone entering. Terms and conditions are linked below at the bottom of the widget.

  • Nick says:

Having been to several HH experiences events at the McLaren Technology Centre over the past 7 years or so, I can certainly say how very well organised they’ve all been, with a great, knowledgable team taking care of you.

  • N says:

Great prize, well done team hfp.

Shame Mclaren’s car this year seems to be a bit of a turd!

  • Indy500 says:

(there is no option to get two single beds)

This seems a little odd? Is Hilton not a hotel group that has rooms with beds? Not sure I particularly want to sleep with my 32 year old son in a double bed and I’m sure the feeling is mutual. Ho hum.

    • Rob says:

When did you ever see a single bed in a Hilton hotel?!

I am guessing this is a logistics thing with 20 x Queen beds not fitting the space.

(There are 10 groups attending, our winner plus 9 who got them via Hilton Experiences.)

      • Froggee says:

A surprising gap in Rob’s knowledge. Loads of Hiltons, even in London, sell rooms with two single beds. They call it a “twin guest room”. I guess you’re so used to suites nowadays?

        • Rob says:

I am typing this in a 65 sq m suite at Berlin Marriott, yes. 🙂

        • Doug says:

No, no, no … a ‘twin room’ has two beds for sure but both are larger than a ‘single bed’

      • ianM says:

I presume Indy means ‘twin’ beds, which plenty Hilton Hotels have.

      • lumma says:

Sometimes you end up having to share a bed in a hotel, when you’d prefer not to, but with this, it seems like you’re sharing a bed in a massive dormitory

        • Fraser says:

Yes, my thoughts too – “Please note that both you and your guest must be over 18 and prepared to share a double bed to attend.”

      • Lou says:

        Challenge accepted…. Hilton Queensway

  • Peter K says:

    Great competition!

  • E says:

I’m not sure that Hilton’s service is necessarily “amazing” in the right way…it certainly doesn’t always make “guests feel cared for”. But appreciate Hilton probably had to approve the wording here!

  • Rednas says:

Tried to enter but the widget states “Sorry, this promotion is not available in your region”, which is a bit odd considering I’m about 5 miles away from LHR?

    • Rob says:

Your connection is routed through an overseas system. Often happens with big company systems.

  • Doug says:

Hilton will put you up at the McClaren HQ …. what’s wrong with the nearby Woking Hilton?

    • Peter K says:

Not much of a competition to be put up in Woking hotel… But an F1 fan watching the race in the McClaren HQ then sleeping there as well, that’s something to remember!

    • Mark says:

      Is it open yet?

  • BangkokBob says:

It is impossible for me to enter because at the moment, like I would imagine many HfP readers, I am travelling outside the UK. I get the same message as Rednas if I try to enter using a local Moroccan ISP. However, if I try to use my VPN with a British server, I also get blocked – not what one expects from a site catering for frequent travellers…
“The location (IP Address) you are using is from a data center. To prevent fraud, Gleam blocks entry from these locations. This is usually the result of using a VPN to access our site. Please turn off your VPN and try again.”

    • Rob says:

When you get back, go and chat to your IT people about issues with overseas spam.

Do you know, in one month last year, we had 45,000 spambots try to sign up to our newsletter? Average is 25,000 per month. This is what we deal with day in, day out, without geo restrictions.

      • BangkokBob says:

Fair point – unfortunately spam is ruining the internet. Can readily see that this is more important than allowing us to compete when abroad! Good to have the explanation, and so quickly.

        • Rob says:

As it happens, there is another HUGE competition on Friday which will be accessible from outside the UK, because we are not hosting the entry form. It’s more exotic than Woking too 🙂

        • Mark says:

A home router with built-in VPN server capability is the way forward… 🙂

      • David says:

Woah Rob. What do they gain from the 45k signups?

    • His Holyness says:

Get a better VPN. No issues at all.
