Earn 3,000 Accor points (worth €60) WITHOUT a hotel stay – and double points if you do

Accor Live Limitless, the loyalty scheme for Novotel, Mercure, ibis, Pullman, Raffles, Fairmont and many more brands, has launched an interesting new promotion.

I don’t think anyone at Accor would be offended if I said that their promotions often lacked originality, but this one is definitely a cut above the Accor average.

You can redeem Accor points in two key ways, assuming you are an Avios collector:

• convert them at 1:1 into Avios via Iberia Plus if you have 3,000+ (use ‘Combine My Avios’ to move them to British Airways afterwards)

• use them to part-pay you next Accor hotel stay at the rate of 2 Eurocents per point

How do I earn Accor points with this new promotion?

The aim is to drive business to some of Accor’s partners. This means:

• you will earn 500 Accor points if you make a booking with Eurostar, for travel completed by 7th May

• you will earn 500 Accor points if you book a taxi or rideshare via the Accor Live Limitless app

• you will earn 500 Accor points if you purchase anything at Bicester Village

• you will earn 500 Accor points if you book anything via ALL Activities and Events

There are bonus points for completing multiple activities:

• 500 bonus points for completing two of the above

• a further 500 bonus points for completing all four of the above

…. which would take you to a total of 3,000 Accor Live Limitless points, worth €60 off a future stay.

There’s a lot of small print but ….

You need to read the small print in the T&C here. However, to summarise:

• this offer is only open to residents of the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands or Luxembourg

• all earning opportunities must be completed by 7th May, and you must register before they begin to count

The easiest one to hit is 500 points for booking a taxi or ride share via the Accor app. This is a quick win for €10 of value if available in your area.

The others will clearly depend on your plans during the next month.

For Bicester, you qualify by claiming Accor points instead of Avios or another reward for your spending there. The 500 bonus points are on top of your standard earnings – during the current Private Sale promotion – of 6 Accor points per £1 spent.

For Eurostar, read the rules – your Eurostar email must match your Accor account email for the transaction to track. (You don’t book via the Accor website or any special link.)

There is a double points promotion too

Accor is adding a ‘double points’ offer too.  This is valid for stays at participating hotels in France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands or Luxembourg.

Bookings must be made AFTER registration (click here) for a stay by 7th May.

There is a PDF of participating hotels. There is no minimum stay requirement.

You can only earn the bonus once but you can earn it on up to two rooms on the same stay.

You must register

The key thing to note is that you must register here before doing anything, whether that be booking a hotel, booking a taxi, booking a Eurostar or submitting a Bicester Village receipt.

If you stay at Accor hotels, I think it’s a no-brainer to – at the very least – pick up 500 points (worth €10) by booking a taxi or rideshare via the Accor app if available where you live.

It looks like there are a few low cost Experiences options too.

Clearly it isn’t worth a special trip to Bicester Village or making a Eurostar booking purely for the points, although remember that – once you’ve got your first bonus – the 2nd will earn you 1,000 bonus points (worth €20) so it becomes more valuable.

I’d be impressed if any HfP readers can trigger all four bonuses by 7th May though!

PS. The promo website says that all of the offers end on 15th May. The small print says 7th May in multiple places. I have used 7th May in the article for safety but let’s see if Accor makes any changes.
