Hilton Honors has just launched its new Autumn promotion, Multiply Your Points, which is now open for registration – click here.
To give Hilton credit, it is very straightforward with minimal small print:
- you will earn double or triple Hilton Honors base points for every stay between 6th September and 31st December
- the triple points deal kicks in when you stay in selected big cities – the list of ‘3x’ hotels is here
- that’s it!
There is no cap to what you can earn and there are no minimum stay requirements. The bonus will trigger on incidental spend on reward stays too.
What is your return here?
Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a good return on your spending here.
Let’s assume that you are spending $300 (£235) before taxes in a 3x market such as Seattle, and are a Hilton Honors Diamond member.
You would receive:
- 3,000 base points
- 6,000 bonus points (for triple base points)
- 3,000 elite status bonus
…. for a total of 12,000 points earned.
At 0.33p per point, you are getting £40 back. This is a 17% of your pre-tax spending.
Of course, you may not be in a 3x market, you may not have Diamond status and of course you need to adjust for VAT and other local taxes.
There is no small print
There is no small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website:
- there is no minimum stay requirement
- existing bookings still count
- all Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part
Conclusion
These ‘2x’ or ‘3x’ offers work best for people who are doing expensive longer stays. (The other sort of Hilton offer – usually a flat 2,000 bonus points per stay – works best for someone doing short, cheap nights.)
Make sure you register here if you have any Hilton stays coming up over the next four months.
You can check if you are staying in a ‘3x’ hotel by looking at the list here.
Even if you don’t have any stays planned, it is still worth registering just in case – a lot can happen between now and 31st December.
How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2024)
There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.
