Hilton Honors has just launched its new Autumn promotion, Multiply Your Pointswhich is now open for registration – click here.

To give Hilton credit, it is very straightforward with minimal small print:

  • you will earn double or triple Hilton Honors base points for every stay between 6th September and 31st December
  • that’s it!

There is no cap to what you can earn and there are no minimum stay requirements.  The bonus will trigger on incidental spend on reward stays too.

What is your return here?

Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a good return on your spending here.

Let’s assume that you are spending $300 (£235) before taxes in a 3x market such as Seattle, and are a Hilton Honors Diamond member.

You would receive:

  • 3,000 base points
  • 6,000 bonus points (for triple base points)
  • 3,000 elite status bonus

…. for a total of 12,000 points earned.

At 0.33p per point, you are getting £40 back. This is a 17% of your pre-tax spending.

Of course, you may not be in a 3x market, you may not have Diamond status and of course you need to adjust for VAT and other local taxes.

Hilton Autumn 2023 promotion

There is no small print

There is no small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website:

  • there is no minimum stay requirement
  • existing bookings still count
  • all Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part

Conclusion

These ‘2x’ or ‘3x’ offers work best for people who are doing expensive longer stays. (The other sort of Hilton offer – usually a flat 2,000 bonus points per stay – works best for someone doing short, cheap nights.)

Make sure you register here if you have any Hilton stays coming up over the next four months.

You can check if you are staying in a ‘3x’ hotel by looking at the list here.

Even if you don’t have any stays planned, it is still worth registering just in case – a lot can happen between now and 31st December.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2024)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.

  • Devon Diamond says:

I was emailed a targeted 4000 points for any stay before December 31st. The other option was apparently 500 points for opening the app. Hopefully I can double dip

  • Boi says:

    Isnt triple base points (3000) 9000 ?

    • James C says:

No. I can see why you think it would be but it’s not. It’s double base points/ triple base points not triple or double on top of what you would have got normally. Base points are earnt at a rate of 10 per $1, so under this offer 2x gives you 20 per $1 and 3x gives you 30 per $1. So in Rob’s example on $300 spend double is 6k and triple is 9k cumulative.

    • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

In the real works yes but with these offers it’s actually 3 x the points in total so 3 x 3,000 = 9,000

It’s not the base plus 3x that just the base x 3

    • Andy says:

Yes – which, in this example is what you get. 3 x 3000 = 9000. It’s not a bonus of triple base points on top of the ‘standard’ number of base points. It’s triple base points in total (plus any status related bonus).

  • HFPCar says:

Hi looking to stay in ATL and MIA but in January are there any offers for that time?

    • Rob says:

      You won’t know until November-ish.

      • PaulC says:

It usually is around November time for January onwards sale. We book Dubai every January and tend to book a cancelable back up hotel incase our preferable Hilton doesn’t come on offer nearer the time.

  • Graeme says:

Upsetting the Scottish contingent, not a single participant!!

  • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

What an awful anwful awful way to organise a list!

    • Mikel says:

      My thoughts too

    • Blenz101 says:

Nuts but it seems a city is either included or not. I’ve checked Dubai and even the cheapest hotels which sell for 150 AED are included.

    • lady london says:

Yeah they could at least have done a pull to an Excel file

  • Tariq says:

Best thing about the fixed 2000 points promo is that it credits as a rebate on redemption stays.

  • Can2 says:

Pfff, looking forward to a Conrad Dublin stay in October. Would be great if it was in the list

  • Ian M says:

Good promo from Hilton. I hope Marriott announce something competitive.

    • Blair Waldorf Salad says:

Still licking their wounds after honouring the free night offer that was mistakenly left open to all earlier this summer
