Save £150-£200 at selected Four Seasons hotels across EMEA with American Express

The high-end Four Seasons hotel chain has launched a new cashback offer with American Express.

You need to look under the ‘Offers’ tab on the statement page of the Amex website, or in the Amex app, for each American Express card you hold. If the offer is there, you need to click ‘Save to Card’ to activate it.

You will receive £150 cashback when you spend £750 at selected Four Seasons hotels by 7th July.

Looking at the comments, there is an alternative version of £200 back on a £900 spend.

Four Seasons American Express cashback

For the first time, this offer covers selected hotels outside Europe as well as the usual suspects.

The participating hotels can be seen here although someone had clearly been on the beers before writing it. Apparently Prague is in a country called Prague, Riyadh is in Qatar, Tunis is in Switzerland and Abu Dhabi is in Dubai.

All three UK hotels are taking part:

  • Four Seasons Hotel London At Park Lane
  • Four Seasons Hotel London At Ten Trinity Square
  • Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, photo above

Other particpating countries are:

  • Bahrain (Manama)
  • Czech Republic (Prague)
  • Egypt (Alexandria, Cairo, Sharm)
  • Greece (Athens)
  • Hungary (Budapest)
  • Italy (Florence, Taormina)
  • Jordan (Amman)
  • Kuwait (Kuwait City)
  • Mauritius
  • Morocco (Casablanca, Marrakech)
  • Portugal (Lisbon)
  • Qatar (Doha)
  • Saudi Arabia (Riyadh)
  • Seychelles
  • South Africa (Johannesburg)
  • Spain (Madrid)
  • Switzerland (Geneva)
  • Tunisia (Tunis)
  • Turkey (Istanbul)
  • UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai)

If you are booking a Four Seasons hotel to take advantage of this deal, you should book via our luxury hotel partner Emyr Thomas at Bon Vivant.

As a Four Seasons Preferred Partner, your booking will usually come with:

  • free breakfast (this is a big saving at Four Seasons)
  • room upgrade if available at check-in
  • a hotel credit (usually $100 or equivalent, may be restricted to certain services)

…. and some other bits and pieces depending on property.

Importantly, Emyr can usually get these benefits on ANY rate showing on the Four Seasons website, so you are virtually certain to get a better deal by using him. You pay on departure as usual so there is no issue getting the cashback.

You can contact Emyr via the form on this page of HfP.

  • James C says:

Same on my Platinum charge card

  • Jon says:

Thanks for flagging! Slow q, but does all (common sense) spending at the hotel get charged in a transaction at checkout and hence is eligible for this offer? For example spa treatments, (and I guess if booked via phone call) four seasons experiences etc? Only reason I ask is because last year I had a bit of a faff getting them to credit the $100 for a spa treatment and didn’t want to have a similar experience with this credit not posting due to a weird charging suggestion.

    • Rob says:

If it is added to your bill and you pay it at the front desk it is fine. Amex has no idea what you spent.

Problems occur when, for example, you pay the spa directly and it has a different Amex merchant account.

  • JDB says:

Neither £150 nor £200 off gets you very far in Four Seasons land these days which is quite bad when price rises have continued apace while costs are being rather visibly reduced.

  • John says:

No FS offer on my Platinum card 😔

  • HertsCanuck says:

I have been wanting to book a stay, but for October, after the offer ends. Any way to have some prepayment towards the booking to take advantage of this, when booking with Emyr?

    • Rob says:

If there is a pre-paid rate online he may be able to book it. Email him.

    • Emyr Thomas says:

We can always request a payment link at time of booking to prepay so that you can use the offer, which would still be cancellable.

  • EC says:

If one was to book with FHR and prepay, would this qualify for spend or would it go down as Amex Travel?

    • kpworldtravels says:

I wouldnt use FHR at Amex..you won’t get much VIP treatment other than a free breaky.

      • Rob says:

You do get the guaranteed 4pm check-out though which, on a weekend break, can trump a modest upgrade.

        • kpworldtravels says:

yes that is true, although on a FSPP booking you can pretty do the same if you get your agent to agree with the hotel. But yes if that the 4pm check-out is your main priority then FHR works well

      • EC says:

This is interesting to me as it’s all I use. What VIP treatment can one expect elsewhere? Where else is best to book?

        • Rob says:

In theory a booking via a Four Seasons Preferred Partner like Emyr is higher up the tree for upgrades than an FHR booking. Apart from that there is little difference in actual benefits and the 4pm guaranteed FHR checkout may swing it for you anyway.

One issue can be over the $100 credit since some hotels now try to restrict it to spa etc. You’d need to check the small print of the FHR and FSPP credits for a particular hotel.

          • EC says:

Ah that I didn’t realise! I was under the impression they put you on equal footing but as I’m limited to school holidays, I imagine not many people are getting upgraded anyway!

  • Paul (another one) says:

Mine is £900/£200 on my BAPP (not on the Plat card)

  • Colin says:

When paying with your American Express card on departure do you pay in EUR or GBP to get the statement credit?

    • TGLoyalty says:

You can only pay in local currency with Amex they don’t allow currency conversion

      • fastbowler says:

Confusingly the Terms and Conditions state :
Offer only applies to spend settled in Great British Pound (GBP) on the Card to which the Offer is saved.
