Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Finnair and Finnair Plus

Finnair is a British Airways oneworld partner, letting you earn and redeem Avios and British Airways Club tier points on its flights. It also has its own frequent flyer program called Finnair Plus which uses Avios as its reward currency.

For UK residents, the airline can be a good option when flying to Asia due to its strong route network and regular sales.  Flying times are not substantially longer because Helsinki is ‘on the way’.

The Finnair website is here.

Finnair Plus does not have its own UK credit card but you can transfer points earned from American Express Platinum (high fee, high bonus), American Express Preferred Rewards Gold (free for a year, good bonus) and Amex Rewards Credit Card (no fee, small bonus!).

You can also use any credit card which earns British Airways Avios and move those over to Finnair Plus Avios.
