Is it possible to credit TAP flights to VA?
Doesn’t look like at it. TAP is in Star Alliance, Virgin Atlantic in Skyteam. There is no separate agreement between the two airlines, except for interlining (the most basic of agreements that allows to combine TAP and VS flights on a single ticket).
Wheretocredit.com is a helpful resource (although always double check on the airline website).
I’ve noticed that Wheretocredit is lacking recent changes/updates.

Eh, always thought VA was star alliance… have they always been Skyteam?!
They’ve recently become a full ST member but previously were unaligned with 49% ownership by Delta giving some reciprocal benefits.
They’ve never been in Star Alliance, but the 49% ownership was previously with Singapore Airlines and there are still partnership arrangements in place with them, as well as Air New Zealand and ANA.
Assumed the OP meant Virgin Atlantic – VS, not Virgin Australia – VA as the latter almost never is relevant 🙂
Yes, likewise 🙂 But Virgin Australia has never been a member of any of the major alliances, to my knowledge…..
