Wife recently took out the Platinum card but no sign of any offers of any kind on her online account or the app. Does it take a while for the offers to appear, or do I need to call?

Best to go into the app and use online chat and ask if they could load the offer. They’ll say it will automatically appear after a using the card for a week or something similar, but my experience is that it then appears the next working day.

Sorry to ask as I’m sure the answer is here in this thread already … but can anyone confirm if you can use the credit if visiting the same restaurant twice? Eg first visit spend is £100 total and for nub second visit to the SAME restaurant I am credited £50

Takes a while – online chat put the dining ones on for me, the Harvey Nicks one appeared in a week or so, but others take a long time

    Totally fine.

Good morning. Planning to go to the ivy asia in Leeds which will be newly opened. It isn’t on the dining list yet but wanted to check if the billing would go through as ‘the ivy’ anyway since the regular Ivy in Leeds is on that list. Many thanks.

Usually a case of if it’s not in the list it won’t count.

Are they next door to one another by any chance? I.e. The Ivy Asia in Chelsea is next door to the normal brasserie and I’m sure they both ring through the same system.

Ah thank you. I think its next door to each other. The other idea I had was going to the normal Ivy in Leeds and purchasing a gift card to use at the Ivy Asia? Do you think that would work? Thanks again

Hawksmoor Manchester, dined on the 2nd, credited today dated the 5th. With 14k points for a hotel and £16 for parking not quite £150 but still a good result.

Gotta say the London selection isn’t great ):

Any recommendations? I noticed they took off hawksmoor in Canary Wharf!

La Petite Maison, or another 10 or 15 on the list that eclipse Hawksmoor

Hello all, hope you had a good weekend. We will be in London later this month and have a couple questions regarding this AMEX PLat offer please.

    1. Upgraded from Gold to Plat so carry-over a couple other dining offers such as £30 back with the Colony Grill, for example. Will this stack with the £150 dining credit from AMEX Plat?

    2. Just booked Duck & Waffle to meet up with friends and they used Stripe to charge £80 for 4 people. Do I have to get this refund and make sure my whole bill is charged at the restaurant to activate the £150 dining credit?

Hope these questions make sense. TIA.

@Vit I also have a D&W deposit paid via stripe and the offer tracked and the credit has hit the account, so keep an eye out for it. I’ve not even visited yet.

@SteveJ thank you for sharing your experience. Can you advise that the credit has hit even the deposit does not reach £150? That’s interesting. I will keep an eye on it.

You get credit up to £150 not just for transactions over £150. For example you can spend it in 2 £75 transactions if you wish.

Spending over £150 cumulative will net you a total of £150 back.

@stevenhp1987 ah I see. I did not know that. I thought you have to max. the spend to at least £150 to get the credit back. But if I only spend £20 for example, I will get credit back for that. But since it is free credit, most will just max. it out anyway. Understood now. 🙂

A bit late… but I can confirm this works. I had done this very thing last month.

Their Ivy Gift Cards are valid for 1yr and can be used at MOST branches. There were 2 or 3 exceptions they told me about at the time of purchase but I’m currently unable to recall what they were.

I visited the new Ivy Asia in Cardiff last month (also next door to the OG Ivy) – came through in the app/statement as ‘The Ivy Asia’

I went to that one on opening day and they didn’t accept Amex at the time – which I found rather odd! Regardless of the AmEx credit, I’d been planning to go there for quite some time.

Just got a new spend £120 get £20 back offer for the Ivy Collection – let’s hope the participating venue list overlaps with the £150 dining credit

Thanks. So did this visit to ivy asia trigger the dining credit even though ivy asia Cardiff isn’t on the list?

Brilliant so buying a ivy gift card in person seems to trigger the dining credit- I suppose amex can’t see what you’re paying for 👏🏽

So buying a £150 Ivy gift card in an appropriate restaurant, stacking with the Platinum card and the current offer of £20 off a £120 spend, could net me a £150 gift card and a £20 refund back on the card, with no cost to myself?

*slopes off the ebay, to see what the going rate is for a £150 Ivy gift card
