Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Qatar booking – Outbound on Qatar, inbound on BA

    Hi All

Looking for some help regarding a recent flight from LHR to DOH. Flight was booked on Qatarairways.com flying on Qatar metal going out and BA metal returning. The booking was stubborn and kept reverting to my Qatar membership number despite adding my BA frequent flyer number during the booking. Both boarding passes were wrong initially but on both occasions corrected by the checkin desk. However the miles have credited to my Qatar account rather than my BA account. I understand the miles are easy to move as it’s Avois but id rather have my teir points with BA then what are effectively useless Q points to me.

    1. Has anyone had a similar issue and know the best way to solve this?

Was the flight ticketed with Qatar?
You would need to ask Qatar to cancel the crediting the flights to your Qatar account and then apply to have the flights credited to BAEC (hopefully you’ve kept your boarding passes)
FYI Qatar CS isn’t great so this likely won’t be quick nor easy.
