Did the status match on Monday and received notification from SatusMatch.com that I am now RJ silver. Still showing as bronze on RJ website. Tried to select seats on BA for a flight next week but still trying to charge me. I assume that I need to wait for RJ.com to update my status for it to be free?
Update on RJ app seems to be taking ages. And yes I’ve logged in & out of App. I guess as I get older I get more & more impatient. I’ve not even got a flight booked in the next few days like some.
I guess I’m just a bit fed up that I’m still waiting for my BA Tier points & Hilton double night credits to post. Both promised. Maybe I’m just unlucky…
I keep getting this error when trying to pull my my BA bookings on the Finnair website:
“An error occurred when retrieving your booking. Please make sure to enter the correct family name and booking reference or e-ticket number associated with your booking and try again.”
Anyone have this and find a way around?
Also getting the same error. Qatar website also doesn’t work to retrieve the booking.
did you get around this as I am seeing the same for two of my bookings
Still can’t get the card to load into Apple Wallet, I also clicked the email button the website to send card but that didn’t work either.

My status is showing as of this afternoon. The MMB process is very buggy though. I’ve managed to change my FF number via Royal Air Moroc. It kept showing an error when confirming but it changed in the BA app regardless.
Finnair doesn’t even let me add any BA flights via MMB?
I read somewhere that on the BA app or site a new feature popped up this week to make this amendment easier but I can’t remember what it was. I certainly can’t see any option to change Ff details there.

When you say your status is showing, do you mean it shows on an individual booking or on your whole BA account somehow?
It just shows my FF number is from RJ, and hence the benefits carry over to that booking, that’s all. Your BA account stays the same status as it was before.
I got my status match via IHG approved last Wednesday, just an hour before they pulled the hotel to gold sparrow off. It’s now showing gold in the RJ app. I previously added RJ card (when it was bronze) to my Apple wallet, but it is still showing bronze after it’s showing gold in RJ app. I deleted it from my Apple wallet and now can’t add the gold one back. But it’s showing in the app anyway, so I’m not bothered.
Lots of people saying they can’t load their BA booking on Finnair anymore, I had the same issue, but I was able to use RJ or Sri Lankan manage my booking and change the frequent flyer number. It doesn’t show on BA, but if I check the same booking on other one world manage my booking (Qantas is the best) I can see RJ numbers.
Just selected all the seats for all my future BA trips. 8 of them are avios tickets. Now I’m getting like 20 emails from BA telling me “confirmation of seat change”.
Overall, I’m happy. Not ideal that BA doesn’t allow switching FFN on its own website. I hope it works for others too. I wonder if BA’s £700 million investment on IT would add this simple but useful function. I don’t expect BA to go above and beyond, but at least I hope BA can have functions other airlines have on their apps.

People suggested Royal Air Maroc and Sri Lanka. I could retrieve my booking on both and technically it allows to change my FF number. But doesn’t seem to have reached BA yet….
BA.com still allowed you to select seats free of charge, even though it wasn’t showing your RJ number and presumably still saying you could only select or free 24 hours before?
I added RJ at RAM and can’t see any change on BA yet, although I’m only RJ Silver so can’t select a seat at the moment anyway.

On RAM, I had to re-type my email and mobile number (starting with 7 without the first 0). After saving RJ FFnumbers, you can check/validate on another one world MMB to see if RJ number is showing or not. It’s all instant. BA MMB always shows BA numbers, but selecting seats becomes free.
It worked! I think the problem with RAM earlier today is that I didn’t edit the phone number (was showing without the +44), now it all worked. Thanks a lot.
RJ number even showed up on the BA manage my booking. Seats now selected for the first flight, doing for one dozen more now!On RAM I edit my phone number as above, I’ve edited my e-mail address, added RJ numnber (and changed it from RAM), validate….. then I get an error about my special request – but lower down the page it does reflect my RJ number. I also get an e-mail confirming the same, but with no indication of what the issue is.
BA still shows my BAEC number (as above), but it still says that seat selection is 24 hours before when it should be 7 days for me now. Sri Lankan are showing RJ number, which is something.
I also got the same error on RAM for all the bookings I’ve changed (and they were quite a few). But it all worked on the BA side.
Are there any other status matches still open to match the RJ one too? Seems like ITA doesn’t accept it, for instance

I did – but it involved calling BA and being on the call/hold for 2.5 hours to ask for 6 bookings to be updated. Was told they’d all been done but only 4 are giving me free seat selection so going to need to call to have the final 2 done!
It would have been much faster to write a concise message to them on Twitter for future reference
Or just use RAM or Sri Lankan MMB.
The fledgling Jordanian sparrows and jays seem already to have blown up Finnair, using up lots of time with BA call centre. How will RAM and Sri Lankan cope?
Interesting. Was the MMB issue on Finnair related to this? Or BA booking references are overwhelming Finnair’s Amadeus? I can still find my CX and QA bookings on Finnair.
RAM and Sri Lankan don’t require call centres, it takes just 20 seconds by using the online manage my booking.
