As per the terms and conditions which you should have read when you applied for the card;
“For the British Airways Prepaid Mastercard, 1,500 Avios welcome bonus will be awarded to your BAEC account if you have held your Card for 90 days and have spent a minimum of either £500, $500 or €500 in any one currency within 90 days of activating your Card.”
Yet there’s been folks who’ve already had the 1,500 base Avios just days after hitting the £500 spend … so why some and not others?
Where did you see that?

I got the MasterCard and topped up £500. When I try and pay my car nsurance I’m not receiving the authorisation code so can’t pay. I spent an an hour n hold yesterday and the same today before getting disconnected! Chat isn’t manned either. Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

So, one folk, not even plural.
I spoke to chat regarding a “missing” balance on my card. Apparently, there is a transaction fee for purchasing currency even if the transaction is charged in GBP. I can’t see this mentioned in the terms and conditions (https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/executive-club/collecting-avios/shopping/mastercard), and the fee doesn’t appear in the app. According to the BA representative, there is no way they can notify me of the fee in writing.
It seems super suspicious that the transaction would go through with the fee just being enough to put my balance to zero.
Tried applying for this tonight using the HFP2022 promo code, but got to the ID check stage, and it just keeps saying (unhelpfully) “Sorry, something went wrong!”
That’s me now over the three months since activation. No sign of the bonus yet.
Bonus has posted this morning. 3 months and 3 days after activation.

Very useful, thanks so much for taking the time out to be sarcastic … 🙄
Like some others here there was money missing in my balance. I’ve contacted support and was told it was a fee.
The fee was related to paying off a credit card and is 2% of the transaction.
I looked in the terms of the card and cannot find any mention of such fees though. I might try to get it removed and will report back if that worked. There is no such fee in the T&C so they cannot charge it.
The Help Topics also make it clear that any charges will show as a line item.

Q. If I am charged any fees, when will they appear on my customer statement?
A: Any fees will appear immediately on your customer statement which can be viewed within the British Airways Executive Club Rewards app.

They cannot legally charge these “fees” without changing their T&C.

I did get a line showing as “Cash Adv Inter Fee” £0.08, realised is 2% of a test £4 payment to Amex so it must be that, Oops! (Did earn 2 Avios though on the payment).Does an online donation count towards the bonus 3k avios promo? (£500 spend to a charity processed by worldpay)
I know I should have applied sooner and it’s my fault for being a last minute Larry, but as others have pointed out I got the “sorry something has gone wrong” message all afternoon yesterday and this morning. I notice this morning that the box for ‘promo code’ has also disappeared. Makes you think BA have decided they’ve given away enough free Avios and have taken the site down until the promo period is over. Very cynical.

Make a chip and PIN purchase first somewhere else
Mone turned up today. Used to pay my buildings insurance. Payee was A Plan Insurance. BA app shows transaction was with Sevenoaks Sound and Vision. I wish. Queried A Plan. They definitely have the money so what the crap is going on here? Any ideas?
I received and registered my card on 10th Aug. I have so far topped up with £300 and spent approx £210. Today I received a notification in the app congratulating me on receiving my Promotion bonus of 50 points.
I know that I registered using the HfP code and I received the T&C’s telling me I would get 1500 avios after £500 spend within 3 months.
Does anyone know what this 50 point promotion bonus is and should I be worried that I am not going to get my 1500 (+1500) when I hit £500 spend in the next few days?50 bonus points for using ApplePay?

yes
For those that have been charged ‘hidden’ fees for paying off Amex etc, do you think these fee’s, which in my case have not appeared as transaction lines, will count towards the required £500 spend?
My 1500 bonus points arrived today – activated card at end of May and reached target on 1st July.
Still waiting for a refund on my prepaid mastercard, such a disappointing product

No sign of any 1500/1500 bonus for me yet – it’s starting to feel this was a lot of hassle for relatively very little gain!
You’re only ever going to earn 1300 avios a month with the monthly spend cap, but there are ways to ms that amount, but the cap and the fee after six months means it’s not really worth the hassle.

Anyone know the answer to this?
