    Hi all,

    Is anyone successfully using the Virgin Money App ? I havnt needed to until ( possibly) now as i get paper statements for my Virgin Atlantic card, but they keep sending me decent balance + money transfer offers which i might take them up on – but you have to apply for these through the App…

    Reviews of the App were dire, but i installed it ok, added my details ok, but then it just froze, uninstalled/reinstalled, but same outcome.

    My smartphone is a few years old now, but it installed the app ok, and i dont want to replace it because of Dickie B. Guess i will have to see if they will do the transfer over the phone, but knowing them, probably not.

    Yes, use it regularly.

    There’s the (universal?) issue with the Cashback offers that requires me to go into the offers, go back to the VM home screen, then back into offers again that gives me issues.

    Although, just checking. there’s both the Virgin Money Mobile Banking App and the Virgin Money Credit Card App. Are you using the right one?

    Yep its definitely the C/C app, it prompts for credit card number as part of the registration process.

    I enter my name, then DOB, then C/C no – at that stage it freezes, so uninstall / re-install and same thing happens. will call them when i have more time, and see if transfer can be done that way.

    I’ve used the app since we got the cards getting on for 2 years ago, everything you need is in it, not had any issues using it.
    The only pain is that when making a debit card payment you have to input all the details, plus your address, there doesn’t seem any way to save the card unlike with payments to Amex. I think my phone is an iPhone 11, so not the newest!

    Thanks for feedback, phone is a samsung ( android) from 2016, but im happy enough with it, all my betting apps work fine 😉

    Registration would not work on my older Android phone, but it worked on a newer (work) one – and then I could switch device and log in on the older one!

    Edit: p.s. Doubtful that the balance transfer offers are attractive compared to those available elsewhere – the ones I’ve seen in the virgin app are 0% interest… but with a 4% fee! There are cards out there with 0% interest and 0% free.

    @Travel Strong – I did the Money Transfer which was 0% with a 2.5% fee – to be honest i was happy to pay the £100 fee, we did a very stupid thing and relocated to another part of the country without nailing down jobs first, so took the money to tide us over, we both sorted work pretty quickly, but i dont think i am cut out to be a Northern Monkey, might slum it for a couple of years here then head back to Devon.

    I stuck the App on OH’s Ipad, works fine on there….

    That annoyed me as well. You can do bank transfer for paying which is much easier

    The app is utter crap. If it weren’t for the companion vouchers, I’d have binned the card off long ago.

    It’s far from perfect but still a more pleasant experience than it was a year ago.
