New Avios earning partnership with Tristar

Avios has announced a new partnership with chauffeur group Tristar.  You will now earn points with every Tristar booking you make, at the rate of 2 Avios points per £1 spent.

This is an partnership and NOT a British Airways Executive Club deal.  You will need to give an number when booking and, if you wish, move the points over to BA via ‘Combine My Avios’ online.

Whilst you may not know the Tristar name, they are used by Virgin Atlantic, Etihad and Emirates at Heathrow to provide their chauffeur services to business class passengers.

You can book their services at all major UK airports and at 80 airports worldwide.

Avios is running a competition to promote this new partnership, although it is nothing to get excited about.  Five people who earn Avios from Tristar before 30th September will each win 1,000 Avios points.  Calm down at the back ….

  • There prices are massively more expensive than other companies offering a similar service. I usually pay about £42 from my home to Heathrow. They want £120!

Hmmmm….at £155 one way from Milton Keynes to LHR T5 in an E Class, I think I’ll stick to my local supplier who provide similar cars at that price for a round trip.

I have used these guys for the last 3 years and although they are more expensive than a cab, the service is very good. Even better that I can now collect Avios!
