One of the best travel bargains over Black Friday was the exceptionally generous deal to buy MeliaRewards hotel points.

Whilst Melia is a Spanish chain, it is well represented elsewhere.  This deal was an excellent opportunity to book a bargain in London or New York among other places.

Take a look at this article and also this article, which is a case study of how I used my points.

The current price is €4.20 per 1,000 points.  This is a slightly more than the Black Friday deal but still a lot better than the standard rate of around €8 per 1,000.

ME London deal

Before you waste time checking, if you buy via Amazon Spain here you pay the same €4.20 per 1,000 as buying via Melia.

To put the deal in context, a night at the 4-star INNSiDE New York will cost you just under €100 per night if you buy the points (assuming standard reward nights are still bookable at 23,000ish points for your stay).  This compares to a non-refundable cash rate of over £200 in the Summer.  We reviewed INNSiDE New York here.

I have no idea how long this price will last.  Ensure you read my two articles above before jumping in, and obviously check reward nights are available in the place you want them.
