Latest travel corridors update

Another week, another last-minute change: Portugal is back on the quarantine list after it was removed three weeks ago. Hungary is also added to the list whilst Sweden is removed.

The government is also taking a new regional approach to the list, adding seven Greek islands to the quarantine list whilst mainland Greece remains safe to fly to.

American Express news

A round of new offers hit American Express cards this week, with several generous cashback deals at Marriott and Hyatt.

British Airways

Get an extra £100 off with this BA Holidays promotion.

British Airways has also extended its Reward Flight Saver to more long-haul routes. This article examines whether redemptions are now cheaper.

And, despite the massive slump in travel, IAG still intends to break even in Q4 despite forward bookings being worse than expected.

Despite that, Moody’s has downgraded IAG and British Airways debt and Willie Walsh declares he likes state aid, after all!

British Airways BA cabin crew

Cabin crew are still negotiating with British Airways management. This week, BA claimed that no compulsory redundancies had been made at Heathrow thanks to strong uptake of voluntary redundancy packages.

It has also emerged that Unite the Union encouraged British Airways management to fire Mixed Fleet crew instead of legacy fleet members.

Hotels

This week, reader Chris reviewed the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme in Turkey – one of the few all-inclusive resorts you can book on points.
