This follows the sucesss of their free flight giveaway for healthcare staff in May.  We had a few winners from amongst our readership:

….. and hopefully our readers will do as well with the new giveaway for teachers.  Please share this article with any teaching friends.

How does the Qatar Airways teacher giveaway work?

There are 21,000 return economy flights to be given away.

Winners can travel ANYWHERE on the Qatar Airways network.

The ticket allocation has been split across the 75 countries where Qatar Airways is currently flying, and split again across the three days of the campaign.

When and where do you register?

You can register here.

Registration opens at 2am (UK time) on Monday 5th October.  A second batch of tickets will be released at 2am on Tuesday and a third batch at 2am on Wednesday.

It is first come, first served, which is a little inconvenient given that you need to apply at 2am BST.  However, as the UK has its own unique ticket allocation, everyone is in the same boat.

Your chances will be higher on the first day as word will not have got around.

All winners will also receive a voucher for 50% off a Qatar Airways flight ticket.  This can be used by the winner for another trip or by a companion to accompany the winner.  Children aged under 12 cannot travel on a 50% off voucher.

Prize tickets, and tickets booked with a ‘50% off’ voucher, must be ticketed by 1st November 2020.

Any idea when the Qatar “Free Flights for Financial Advisers” campaign starts?

    Good luck all.

  • John says:

With the Qatar waiver, are the previous Med tickets movable to 2021? I understood they are not benefitting the usual ticketing waiver that permits moving a cancelled trip to 2021 and also the various destination changes.

Got it tonight… Trick was to fill out the form and captcha just before 2am – then as the clock hits 2am click send!

      • AndyGWP says:

yeah, I did :/ ah well

      • Howard says:

Think so too. “Thank you for submitting your details. We will send you an email within 48 hours once your request has been processed.” is a sign you’ve been successful, right?

  • Aston100 says:

It seemed to recognise that I’d already entered yesterday.

    • A270 says:

That’s what I was about to ask as people who got in yesterday seemed to be of the view that they’d need to enter everyday. Not sure if the blue ticket I got at the bottom means I got it for sure or whether they will now choose and notify selected people. What was the experience when it was offered to health care workers?

  • Cat says:

Boo, insomnia struck, so gave it a go, filled in the form and submitted it 5 seconds after 2am, got the allocation used up message.

  • Martin Wyvill says:

Was online and primed at exactly 02.00. ALL CODES GONE!! What’s the point?

  • Howsrd says:

Make sure you computer system time is correct too. Could be a few seconds out. You can check at https://time.is/

  • Baji Nahid says:

Yeah i got the used up message. God I hope we win!
