Hilton Honors has just launched its new Spring promotion, Points Unlimitedwhich is now open for registration – click here.

To give Hilton credit, it is very straightforward with minimal small print:

  • you will earn 2,500 bonus Hilton Honors points for every stay between 1st January and 1st May
  • that’s it!

There is no cap to what you can earn and there are no minimum stay requirements.  The bonus should trigger on reward stays given how similar promotions have worked in the past.

What is your return here?

Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a good return on your spending here.

For someone who only does one night stays, you would be earning 2,500 bonus points per nightI would value that at £8.33 which is a decent result especially as it doesn’t include your base points or any status bonus.

Of course, if your only Hilton stays during the four months are five nights long, you are not doing too well.  Your bonus will average 500 points per night (2,500/5) which I’d value at £1.66 per night.

There is no small print

There is no small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website:

  • there is no minimum stay requirement
  • existing bookings still count
  • all Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part

Conclusion

2,500 bonus points per stay is a decent offer, especially for someone who tends to do short stays.

If your hotel stays are generally just for one or two nights then you should seriously consider moving them to Hilton this Spring.

Make sure you register here if you have any Hilton stays coming up over the next four months.

Even if you don’t have any stays planned, it is still worth registering just in case – a lot can happen between now and 1st May.

Let’s see what IHG and Marriott launch to compete with this ….

  • Lou says:

It’s pretty decent if you’re doing cheapo 1-night stays.

    • Gavin says:

Exactly. I do find Hilton bonuses are very simple too. None of this no pre-booked stays, or bonus kicks in after 2 stays nonsense

  • Harry T says:

It’s targeted. I received an offer for double points on stays including a Friday or Saturday night. I am Ambassador on 124 nights and this is my first targeted promotion.

  • Geoff 1977 says:

Nice one. Took me 30 seconds. Will probably book a post lockdown trip somewhere in March

  • AlanC says:

Holiday Inn pattaya had an Exec lounge and and nice pool area too.

  • Harrier25 says:

Just had an email from Hilton saying that they are increasing the daily food & beverage credit in the US hotels from $12 to $15 per person from the 1st February. Nothing about it being introduced in the UK and EU though…thank God!

    • Mike says:

Glad, they haven’t extended it the UK and EU however the Americans are not going to be happy, they really have hated it. The flyertalk Hilton forum is going to be an unhappy place today.

    • ianM says:

Experienced it in Atlanta couple of weeks ago, just messy. $12 allowance but breakfast cost $16 not a good move

  • Ian M says:

My Marriott offer was double points on all stays of 2+ nights until 31st March.
