Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get up to 3,500 Avios with £100 spend at The Wine Flyer

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

The Wine Flyer is the new British Airways wine ordering portal.

It’s an interesting business and an intriguing diversion by IAG Loyalty. British Airways partnered with Laithwaites for many years to offer wine to Executive Club members, but IAG Loyalty has now become a retailer itself.

If you haven’t given it a try yet, there are two special offers running which can be combined.

Earn 3500 Avios with The Wine Flyer

On The Wine Flyer website, you will see that you will receive 1,500 bonus Avios on any order of £100+.

You need to order by 7th April.

There is also a 15% discount on cases of 12 bottles.

An extra bonus for British Airways American Express cardholders

If you have a British Airways American Express card, there is a second offer for paying with your card. Most (but not all, see the comments below) will have this.

You will receive 2,000 Avios when you spend £80 at The Wine Flyer by 16th April.

As usual with American Express cardholder offers, you need to register for the offer in the ‘Offers’ section of your British Airways American Express statement page, either online or in the Amex app.

These two deals will combine without any problems, allowing you to earn 3,500 Avios on a £100+ wine purchase from The Wine Flyer this Easter.

Thanks to John for flagging this in our comments yesterday.

PS. Comments below suggest code EASTER10 will knock off a further 10%

Anyone else not got the offer on their BA amex?

    • yonasl says:

Scroll down to the very bottom

      • Qrfan says:

I don’t have it in either my primary or my secondary on my wife’s account. My brother has it though. That’s on the app. Haven’t checked the website.

  • Andrew says:

Plus 5 Avios per £ plus 1 or 1.5 Avios per £ with the card?

    • SammyJ says:

The EASTER10 hadn’t been mentioned when I posted that, but I guess 10% is better value than an extra 5% of Avios. Still worth clicking through as sometimes they do work with codes too.

  • SammyJ says:

Pop up for a competition to win 50k for signing up to their newsletter.

Just received a ‘welcome to the newsletter’ email with the following offer, which appears to be several months out of date:

    “Collect Bonus Avios

We are offering 100% more Avios until 31st December 2022 on a selection of our favourite wines, chosen especially for you.”

  • yonasl says:

I don’t know you but I make a basket of £127 and only see “you will get 650 avios with this order”

    • rjn21 says:

When I emailed them, their CS claimed the bonus doesn’t show on checkout, but would be added within 30 days. I’ve set a calendar reminder to chase…

  • Chris Cannon says:

    Wines themselves not great value

    • Tom Murray says:

Correct – it’s all very well chasing Avios, but not when the bog-standard wines are north of £11.00. Other merchants are better value imo and of course still pay with Amex

  • Ann says:

Agree wines not good value, anyone have a promo code for 10% off or free delivery?

  • David says:

EASTER10 promo code seems to work on top

  • Matt says:

If you buy a trio case you get about 18.5 avios per pound. As you seem to get the same amount of avios wether you buy 3, 6 or 12. Also the non bonus avios go instantly into your account after purchase making it good if you need a few fast.
