-
I’m back six weeks now, and I’ve had 75% of my tier points awarded (120 instead of 160) so I’ve chased down the remaining 40 via the suggested email address (exec-club.socialmedia@ba.com) and via the Twitter DM’s. Had no response from the email yet (two weeks today) but twitter did come back and tell me it can take up to 60 days to appear so I need to wait a further fortnight before I should chase them again.
Both flights were BA flight numbers, booked through BA Holidays, albeit the return leg was switched by BA to Finnair operated as BA413 so I wonder if that’s causing the glitch somewhere, as that’s the return flight that is missing an additional 40 points.
Probably shouldn’t be this hard to enjoy what on the face of it looks like a great tier point offer!
Pls let me know if calling the Silver BAEC number helps shift things along, or any other suggestions that I may have missed.
Thanks as always
Hi,
Any recent data points on how long it is taking for BA to post the double Tier Points? It has been a week since my trip ended and I’ve already had the avios + Tier Points posted, but not the additional TP.
What’s the best way to contact BA to chase this?
Thanks.
Just to follow up on my original post to add another data point, the double Tier Points have now posted (roughly 10 days after my return flight).
Landed back 21/6/23 & double points credited today 🙂
Looks like they have changed the terms and conditions of the offer to clamp down on some of the “creative” holidays that people have been booking. The definition of “qualifying booking” now says:
c) The hotel/car element of the package must be for a minimum of five nights within the flight travel dates for travel before 31 December 2023.
d) The hotel/car element of the package must be used i.e. hotel occupied and or car rental hired for the full booked duration. The wording remains somewhat sloppy – it really wouldn’t have broken the bank to get a lawyer to properly draft the terms in the first place! I wonder if they’ll try to retrospectively apply these new terms…
Interesting that it has been changed so late in the day. I assume a lot of bookings for the next six months are already made and retrospective application of the new rules can be challenged.
Is this a sign that the offer may be extended into 2024, but they are tightening up on qualifications rules first?

Yes poor wording. Do they mean five nights of car hire or at least 120 hours?
Hi I have taken one back last year, would I be eligible for double tier points if I book another 5d trip? Thanks.

There is no restriction on the number of times you can avail yourself of the offer as long as you meet the requirements.

Hasn’t it always said 5 nights?
I don’t recall it ever saying “5 days” or been expressed as a number of hours.
Hi All
My Wife has her tier points ending 8 August this year and we return from Cancun 7th. Do you think BA will honour her ascension to Gold if the tier points are awarded after the end of the collection year? we are expecting a total of 280+280 points for this trip having booked it all via BA.
Obviously I would hope so, just wondering if I should prepare for a ruck now 🙂
Thanks

ToneTier points should post based on date of flight, if they don’t for any reason a call to BAEC should get it fixed.
Booked a BA Holiday with outbound being flown on 23rd of May. Inbound was originally booked for a week later on May 30th, however I ended up changing the inbound to July 4th.
Not sure if this is the norm but thought it was odd that BA credited the double points of the Outbound before the Inbound was flown.Of all the BA Holiday’s I’ve completed it never took more than a few days for the double points to post.
Should I be concerned that BA have not yet credited the double points for the Inbound portion of the flight?
What is the best form of contact to chase this up?
Does anyone know if it’s possible to know the ‘Ticket Bucket/Type’ when booking a holiday package (either hotel or car) online? European and US BC tickets are very straightforward as all ticket types give you the same tier points. The Economy tickets have 3 types (Lowest, Low, and Flexible), varying from 5 to 40 tier points and I’m trying to understand if there is a way to select/see a particular ticket type when booking a holiday online OR if it can be done only over the phone with BA’s sales rep? Thank you
From memory…
You have to go to Manage My Booking on the website, click on the ‘go to old version’ at the top of the page, then click on ‘more flight information’ for the flight.
Among the details will be the fare selling class – O, G and P are the lower Economy ones I think.
Re-reading – you want to know before booking! I think that will need a call.
Offer extended till 31 Dec 2024
https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/executive-club/offers/holidays-double-tier-pointsGood news!
People need to take into account the changes to the T&Cs where they say you need to “use” the car and hotel elements.

Definitely – but those conditions were imposed in the last update anyway, so apply to any new bookings from 26th June
I returned from a BA Holidays booking last Saturday. Tier points for both legs have credited, but not the bonus/double tier points. My executive club year ends on the 8th August; when should I think about contacting BA if the bonus tier points have not been credited, i.e. how many days before the end of the tier point year?

The Double Tier points seem to be credited 9-10 days after the return flight at the moment. So if you returned on the 22nd, I would not expect your Double Tier points to be credited until Monday or Tuesday (31st/1st)
@Jasdev, I returned the previous weekend to you and my double points have just landed today, so I’d give it another week
Just had double points credited today for a return flight on 15-July, so that’s 9 working days. It was also for a flight + car booking where I didn’t pickup the car.
Does anyone know if you pay for part-pay for a BA holiday using Avios do you still get the double tier points on the flights or are they treated as pure redemptions and therefore ineligible?
