UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2023:  This article is now out of date, but don’t worry.  We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.

Radisson Rewards has launched a new ‘double points’ promotion.

Whilst you probably don’t have any Radisson stays coming up, the offer will run until 30th April so you may want to register in case you have a stay later in the Spring.

Radisson Rewards is the loyalty scheme for Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn amongst other brands.

Radisson Rewards Gold status (click for details) is a benefit of American Express Platinum so you may be tempted to use them if you have the card.

Here are the headline rules:

  • promotion runs from 1st February to 30th April
  • there is no minimum stay requirement
  • you earn double base points (ie an additional 20 points per $1 spent) on every stay after registration
  • tier bonuses for elite members are not doubled
  • reward stays do count so you will earn the bonus on incidental spend
  • you can earn up to 100,000 bonus points during the offer (which would require $5,000 of pre-tax spend, so unlikely to be a problem)

I value a Radisson Rewards point at 0.33p so – at 40 points per $1 – you are getting a generous rebate of 18% of your post-tax spending.

We recently reviewed the two new Radisson hotels at Heathrow, pictured below, which share the old Park Inn building – the Radisson Heathrow (review here) and the funkier Radisson RED Heathrow (review here).

You can register for ‘double points’ via this page of the Radisson website.

PS. You can still get a good deal for stays up to 31st August via the current Radisson ‘Dream Deals’ sale. Our article on the sale is here and you can book here. The deadline for booking is 31st January and all sale bookings are cancellable.

How to earn Radisson Rewards points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Radisson Rewards points and status from UK credit cards (February 2023)

Radisson Rewards does not have a dedicated UK credit card. However, you can earn Radisson Rewards points by converting Membership Rewards points earned from selected UK American Express cards.

These cards earn Membership Rewards points:

Membership Rewards points convert at 1:3 into Radisson Rewards points which is a very attractive rate.  The cards above all earn 1 Membership Rewards point per £1 spent on your card, which converts to 3 Radisson Rewards points.

Even better, holders of The Platinum Card receive free Radisson Rewards Premium status for as long as they hold the card.  It also comes with Hilton Honors Gold, Marriott Bonvoy Gold and MeliaRewards Gold status.  We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here.

They had probably won those awful monk shoes so no wonder they didn’t respond!

  • Chrisasaurus says:

Have a Gold referral code available for free, asking for donation to charity.

  • Mike says:

Did the missing prizewinner win the Double Monk shoes – I think I wouldn’t have answered the phone either ! (Unless I was going to a fancy dress party – as a monk !)

  • Nick G says:

I was one of the winners thank you reader for donating gold whoever it was!

Not that I’m ungrateful but can I just ask rob the expiry date as I read the article two ways. Is it one year from this week, or as you wrote “ As the upgrade has to be triggered by 31st January, your status will run for the rest of 2021 and most of January 2022”?

Either is a bonus I’m more than happy!

  • Ikaz says:

New Innside by Melia is (being) built in central liverpool also:
It is right next to the Radisson Blu there. Radisson is also planning a Radisson Red in Liverpool, it was supposed to open last year but was also delayed, apparently near the Marriott.

  • ankomonkey says:

What Rob hasn’t told the Hilton Gold winners is that to receive their status prize they have to receive and wear a Double Monk competition prize.

  • Kevin says:

Radisson sale is frustrating, I’m based in Jersey and every time the sales come round it shows Jersey as in the sale with a sale price but actually the sale price is the standard price and the standard price has never budged all year 🙁

  • Aston100 says:

Excellent gesture by those who donated.
Rob, would it be an idea to name these generous people (if they were willing)?
