Hope my dining on 31 December is correctly credited under 2022 and not 2023.
I was on the 30th. And I guess there’s no way to tell until we spend through this year’s credit. But a December transaction date should trigger from 2022 like any other expiring offer does.
Credit from 30th spend showing today and as the full amount of the transaction wasn’t credited (as it took me over what was left of the £150), it confirms it was was last year’s allocation and hasn’t eaten into this year’s.
Just seen new amex offers on Ivy and a number of other restaurants that qualify for dining credit, might stack.

Great! my credit posted too. How do you know it hasn’t eaten into this years?
Because the credit didn’t cover the full cost of the meal – the cost of the meal was £80ish and I got £30ish credited as that’s all that was left of last year’s £150, so if it had been from this year’s allocation I would have been credited the full £80.

Only potential issue would be if the transaction was concluded after midnight, other than that,it should post fine

Same here – I spent £76.28 earlier last year which I had credited a couple of months ago, and then on 30th December spent £75 at another eligible restaurant. On 3rd January, a credit appeared for £73.72 which confirms it was the remainder of last year’s allowance (not the full £75).
I was waiting for a credit for a meal last year – live chat informed me that the restaurant wasn’t a participating merchant, and was surprised when I pointed out that it was still live as such on their website. They are escalating it and apparently I should have the credit within 7-10 days. May be a useful info point in case anyone else is in a similar situation.
The restaurant in question was Opheem in Birmingham, which is absolutely fantastic by the way.
Exploring restaurants on the American Express site is pretty painful, and I was looking for a software engineering “side project” over Christmas, so I decided to build something better: meet Platinum Dining (https://platinumdining.caffeinesoftware.com/).
Starting with Europe (other regions to come later!), the site allows you to view all of the restaurants on a map and filter by Michelin Guide rating. It is automatically updated to match the American Express website, so you shouldn’t miss any restaurants.
Feedback very welcome – my email is on the website.
@timrogers Loving your work as always Tim, what’s the latest with reward nights?
Great tool, Should really highlight it to @Rob as it deserves a snippet in an article IMO.
Tim, that’s brilliant. +1 that I’d imagine @Rob will definitely want to flag this up in an article segment!
Hawksmoor have opened in Liverpool. Hopefully Amex add it to the list
This is great – thank you for your time in developing that. Also made me notice far more restaurants have been added in the “abroad” offer than when launched – France for example I think was only in Paris originally.
Thanks @timrogers – impressive (as ever) stuff 🙂
Separate question for the folks here… how long is it till ‘this years’ offer usually appears so it can be added to my Plat card please? 🙂
Any ideas / thoughts / previous experience?
Thanks

If it’s a new card it should appear automatically ready to be saved, if it’s not showing contact CS. If it’s not a new card then it should still be saved under offers with an expiry date of 2024?

It just rolls over, you don’t need to add it again. Spent mine and been refunded already.

ah thanks…. so I added and initially redeemed in November (and got rebate), so I don’t need to do anything other than spend again in the next 11.5 months?
Does the same logic apply to the Harvey Nicks £50 credit every 6 months? 🙂
I actually accidentally got the credit yesterday 😹 I went out for dinner at a restaurant that I didn’t even know was in the offer, and lo and behold, after paying I got an email saying that I’d redeemed the offer.

Yes same with the HN offer.

Great work Tim – this is very useful. A small bug I’ve noticed is that when looking at Gent (Belgium), the map defaults to Indonesia.
Quick question on the £150 credit. My card renewal is in March ’23 and I used the £150 credit last October. If I were to spend £150 on another qualifying restaurant eg Hakkasan before March would I receive another £150 credit?
Also, I’m not seeing the extra offer Hakkasan offer as seen by others 🙁
Actually checked a few comments further back and seems like the offers run in the calendar year (same as the Harvey Nicks one) so I should be good to go!
Hakkasan here we come! I’ve been to the Hanway Place branch but considering the Mayfair one – anyone been to both and can recommend one over the other?
