Keep up to date with new hotel offers by signing up for our free daily or weekly newsletters.

As travel begins to restart, we have brought back our regular round-up of the best hotel promotions currently running.

All of the information in this article can also be found on our ‘Hotel Offers’ page which contains details of all of the current offers, together with links to our major articles on each hotel scheme.  However, a positive response from readers – especially our 15,000 email subscribers – means we run this monthly article as a handy summary.

Here are quick summaries and links to the registration pages you need for each offer – do it before you forget. Unfortunately it is a fairly thin list at the moment:

Current American Express cashback offers

It’s also worth noting the current American Express cashback offers which may be showing on one of your cards and which may influence which hotels you book this month:

Remember that each offer only applies to a specific list of participating hotels in Europe.

Where should you credit your stays for July 2022?

Remember that, irrespective of the offers below, there is never a single ‘best’ offer.

Some offers require multiple stays to maximise the bonus, which you might not do. Some require stays to be a minimum number of nights before a bonus is earned.

You need to factor in any elite status you have, which will earn you additional status bonuses.

More importantly, you need to be able to use the points. There is no value in earning a large bonus in a scheme where you will never go on to earn enough points to get a free night.

That said, with only Hilton and IHG to choose from this month, it won’t be too hard to make a choice …..

Hilton (Hampton, Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria etc)

Hilton has a Summer offer called ‘More Nights, More Points’.  You can register here.  Our full article is here.

You will earn double base points on stays of 1-2 nights and triple base points on stays of three or more nights up to 5th September.

You need to register in advance of your stay via the Hilton website here.  Existing bookings count and all Hilton Honors hotels are taking part.

The Hilton booking page is here.

IHG One Rewards new offers

IHG (InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo etc)

Between 18th May and 31st August, you can earn bonus base points on your IHG One Rewards stays.

You must register in advance via this link. Registration is now open.

You will earn:

  • No bonus on your first night during the promo period
  • 2x base points on your 2nd to 5th nights
  • 3x base points on your 6th to 14th nights
  • 4x base points on your 15th and additional nights

In terms of counting ‘nights’, reward nights do not count. This is different from the way that IHG usually counts ‘nights’ in terms of earning elite status or milestone rewards.

Existing bookings DO count so there is no need to rebook anything.  Only one room per stay counts towards the offer, so if you are booking multiple rooms you should put each in a different name.

The home page for bookings is here.

And finally …..

If you booking a luxury hotel, remember that we can offer you exclusive additional benefits at Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula and similar hotels.

  • BSI1978 says:

Only slightly OT Rob, but noticed yesterday on the Hyatt app that a seemingly new Park Hyatt in London will be bookable soon.

Can’t recall this having been mentioned previously (apols if I’ve missed the story) but wondered if you knew anything about this, and/or which hotel it was previously?

    • Rob says:

It’s a joke – it is in Nine Elms, next to the US Embassy. New build.

I give it a year before it is downgraded.

  • BSI1978 says:

“joke” as in it shouldn’t be a ‘Park’? Have you seen the rooms/spec then?

Either way, will be an easy way for me to tick off this brand, which wouldn’t have been doable domestically!

    • Rhys says:

It’s just a really bizarre location for a Park Hyatt. It is Vauxhall really, not even nine elms! On the massive junction there.

      • ChrisC says:

And I’m sure lots of people needing to visit the Borg Cube that is the US Embassy will happily stay there.

It’s a 5minute walk to the embassy according to google maps so hardly the long march.

        • Rhys says:

Definitely, but for Hyatt’s flagship hotel in London it’s certainly an odd choice!

  • S says:

Spotted a 100% buy points bonus in my IHG app

  • The Savage Squirrel says:

    “As travel begins to restart“.

Thankfully I think you can alter this bit of cut and paste now!

  • Doug says:

Marriott Bonvoy are offering an ‘Exclusively for you’ promotion in which you can earn upto 22,500 bonus points for 3 stays (6000 on your 1st stay, 7500 on 2nd and 9000 on 3rd).

  • SteveD says:

‘Hilton Honors is offering an 80% to 100% bonus when you buy points by 19th July. The purchase limit is also doubled to 160,000 points pre-bonus.’

I’m not seeing this increased limit – the drop down menu only goes up to 80,000 + 80,000 bonus, so 160,000 including bonus. Am I missing something?

    • Rob says:

May be targeted – I have 160+160. Hilton never officially tell us about these deals so we have to assume what we get is what everyone gets.

      • SteveD says:

Thanks Rob, must be targeted. We’re working around it!

  • Rob says:

Thanks. Weird, wasn’t told about this.
