The aim of this feature is to summarise flight, hotel and points offers that are ending soon.  Everything listed below has been covered on HfP in recent weeks, but years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….

It pulls together the different deals mentioned in our daily articles and on our Top Avios Points Earning Offers, Top Hotel Bonus Points Offers and Top UK Credit Card Offers pages.

  • Save East Coast Rewards says:

Missed one for the 31st December. Last day to qualify for BA status using the reduced tier point thresholds.

I’m *almost* GGL now. I’m 5TP away from qualifying but I’m waiting for 40TP to post which will take me over. Will these points post before my next flight. If so I get to enjoy the Concorde Room before Christmas. It feels like I’ve been saying I’ve been nearly there for the past few months but now the finish line is in sight.

If you’re close to reaching a new tier on BA it’s worthwhile trying to get some last minute flights in before the end of the year before the qualifying levels shoot up.

The reduced thresholds put GGL within reach for me (normally 5000TP in your first year and 3000TP subsequently, but currently just 3750TP in the first year). The question is will it be worth maintaining? Concorde Room is nice to have when departing T5, but it looks like my regular route is moving to T3 in the summer and only gold is needed for the CX F lounge. Other benefits like faster call response times will be nice I guess. I was looking forward to trying Chelsea but the reviews on FT make it sound like the NCL Aspire!

    • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

If anyone has waited until now to collect those last few TPs then they are going to be pretty expensive to obtain in the next few weeks with even plain domestic HBO economy tickets costing a small fortune and with BA ceasing new bookings into LHR and LGW because of Border Force there are even fewer options for destinations with LCY arrivals.

Maybe that’s why Rob decided not to mention it again here?

      • Save East Coast Rewards says:

It depends how many points you need. If it’s a small amount you can take a domestic flight (I hope they’re not restricted as they don’t go through immigration). Some people might be close to a boundary and weren’t aware of the reduced thresholds. I know people who thought the reduced thresholds didn’t apply to them as the app shows the normal thresholds.

        • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

True domestics aren’t restricted by the BF strike but they are pretty expensive at the moment.

Maybe not too bad if you need minimal TPs and a HBO fare will see you right but not if you need CE level TPs

      • Rob says:

No, it just slipped through the cracks.

  • Mark says:

No mention of the current 50% bonus on buying Avios? Offer ends midnight Monday 19th.

  • Hooch says:

Has anyone had any joy with Avois from Pref a Manger ? I’ve had one transaction post (the first) but since then nothing … I’m missing quite a few transactions as Pret is a lunchtime fave and have done some through the missing miles route, to which I’m yet to hear a response …Other BA Rewards txns have posted ok.
