Why people think that using Curve Metal excludes them astounds me.

Some people just don’t learn. When you have pages of discussion warning about it and still go ahead and try, they deserve the outcome.

I didn’t see anyone mentioning Curve Metal in these last few posts, so don’t understand why that mention (nor why I was quoted).

I wasn’t quoting you, just attempting to link myself to the same area of conversation, and Curve Metal is mentioned all over this thread. Some people seem to think they have a right to recycle points if they’re throwing £14.95 to Curve every month. It’s laughable.

    You quoted me…
Just went through all pages of the thread and didn’t see anyone claiming such a thing.

I am hoping it does work with VAT,CT as it may not be money like transaction (MS).I will know next month when the VAT is due and would start with small amount.

No fees with HMRC but paying Amex or other credit cards will attract fees.
I tried Curve Metal go back in time but the fees were not reversed as “it is a master card charge” according to VS customer service.

Was anyone successful getting the fee reversed?

6012 charge via curve fronted on Wednesday, and still no cash fee.

For those of you who got charged, is the transaction in the virgin app showing as cash or purchase?

Is it for NS&I or Amex or Non Amex?

Perhaps it would be better to only post what does generate a charge, rather than what doesnt.

    Showed as purchase.

I am aware of the issue in letting the world know but I’d rather more people get a small piece of the pie than a select few for long period of time. Sorry if you do not agree 🙂

You’ll see most people will agree if you share something they didn’t know about, but will vehemently disagree if you shared something they were already aware of.

This is the most accurate, and underrated comment

    Mr X strikes again.
Right, what’s next to discuss on manaffactured spending?

I didn’t think would happen because i thought all the banks knew what we were doing and did not care..

HSBC don’t care, they are too busy laundering money for the Mexican cartels

How do you find out what the MCC code is? I can’t see where either Curve or Virgin tell you. Virgin’s old website dashboard used to say but I don’t see it now in their app.

If you want to play MS/MCC roulette, you sort of need to be a bit more alert. It’s been discussed endlessly in previous comments.

Does anyone know if withdrawing cash via curve (linked to Virgin CC) will cause a fee?

Confirming that two transactions (Amex bill payment and Monese top-up) via Curve have both incurred cash advance fees for me.
Both tracked as purchases with MCC 6012

How likely to be charged cash advance fee if the account is in credit and spend it immediately.

Very. It’s a cash advance fee, not an interest fee. It’s usually the interest fee that can be avoided by being in credit

Tried a .50p payment to Amex via VA CC last night as my VA was in credit by .50P but unfortunately Curve cash was used rather than VA CC by Curve

    Rui N. 911 posts

Trying 50p is useless in any case. Fee is 5% with a minimum of £5,so you can try 50p or £100 and it’s the same.
But if you can use curve cash to pay credit cards that’s actually useful to know
