Excellent £75 and £100 Hyatt / American Express hotel cashback deals launched

Hyatt has brought back its generous American Express cashback deal.

This is the most lucrative of the cashback offers that regularly pop up on American Express cards.

This time, however, it has changed. There is the ‘no brainer’ version (perhaps for people who haven’t used one before) and a ‘pretty good’ version for the rest of us.

Park Hyatt Vienna Hyatt American Express cashback offer

Here are the two versions which seem to be out there:

  • get £100 cashback when you spend £250 at selected Hyatt hotels
  • get £75 cashback when you spend £300 at selected Hyatt hotels

The list of participating hotels is here.

Rather unhelpfully, the hotel list is sorted by postal code (!) and not by city for each country.

My wife and I, heavy users of these deals in the past, only have the £75 offer. 25% cashback is clearly a good deal, but not as good as 40%!

As usual, you need to see if you have the offer showing on any of your American Express cards and then save it to lock it in.

There are a few things to note about this deal:

  • it is valid at selected Hyatt properties (Europe plus Egypt, Kuwait and the UAE)
  • no Mr & Mrs Smith properties are included
  • you need to stay by 11th July 2025
  • cumulative spend counts
  • the rules state that only ‘checkout spend’ counts but pre-paid bookings will also usually trigger the bonus – although you have no recompense if they don’t

Where can you stay?

The list covers hotels in:

  • Austria
  • Egypt
  • France (Biarritz pictured below)
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Kuwait
  • Netherlands
  • Portugal
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom

The German list is longer than it used to be following the addition of the Lindner properties. The Spanish list is huge due to the all-inclusive resorts Hyatt has been buying in recent years.

There is no Hyatt global promotion at the moment

Normally you can double up on these cashback offers with the latest World of Hyatt bonus points offer. Unfortunately, the most recent promotion has just finished and it seems there will be a short hiatus.

I’m sure that a new offer will launch before the cashback offer ends in July.

This deal will double up with Hyatt Prive benefits

You can combine this deal with Hyatt Prive, the benefits programme offered by luxury travel agents including our partner Emyr Thomas.

Hyatt Prive gets you the following benefits – at no additional cost, compared to the usual Best Flexible Rate – for stays at:

  • all Park Hyatt hotels
  • all Andaz hotels (some cheaper ones require a 2-night stay)
  • some Grand Hyatt hotels
  • some Hyatt Regency hotels
  • some hotels in The Unbound Collection

You get:

  • $100 property credit per room per stay ($50 or $75 at some cheaper Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels)
  • one category room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of booking
  • daily full breakfast for two
  • early check-in (from 9am) and late check-out (to 4pm) subject to availability
  • welcome gift and letter

Because all Hyatt Prive rates are ‘pay on departure’, you can be sure that they will combine with the cashback. Click here to learn more about Hyatt Prive in a HfP article, and use the form here to contact Emyr with booking enquiries.

    Hah hah!

Postal code for the département of Alpes-Maritime is 06, so Nice is 06000 and Cannes 06400.

  • NorthernLass says:

I used the offer successfully for a pre-paid booking at Schloss Roxburghe last year, lovely property. However, the next time it appeared, I tried to book Dreams Lanzarote and it was a very different story. They don’t take payment immediately – instead, once you make the booking, they send a payment link – which doesn’t accept Amex! After a bit of to and froing and them insisting their system can’t accept Amex, I cancelled the reservation and booked a different hotel via a BAH.

    • CJD says:

Ditto. Booked a pre-paid rate early December for a stay on the 30th and the cashback posted as soon as the transaction cleared on my statement 2 or 3 days after booking.

  • SteveChease says:

It’s not correct that all Hyatt Prive rates are pay on departure. Emyr offers pre paid rates now, this still triggered the offer for me in December though (Andaz Liverpool Street)

  • Paulw says:

Anybody got this offer – not on any family cards (various type) here. But then usually nothing new appears at weekends.
    Hilton & Ihg appeared.

  • Adam says:

Interestingly, I never used Hyatt offers in the past but still got 75 off 300 version. Also, only on the main card, but nothing on the supps.

    • David says:

Same. Not yet used the Hyatt offer. Had the 75 offer on my paid BA, and the 100 offer on my no fee MR card. Go figure.

  • BJ says:

Not a single offer across 7 family cards and supps this time. Disappointed but would have struggled to use anyway.

  • Andrew J says:

Seems a bit more few and far between than the other hotel offers on at the moment – nothing on the myriad cards I have.

    • Rob says:

They are taking 30,000 registrations so I suspect it may show after a week or so if the initial targets don’t bite.

  • Sandgrounder says:

I’ve got it once, on my sup to OH’s Plat cashback.
Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice? Seems like a decent hotel on a quiet island at mainland prices, just not sure if the commute will be a faff.

    • Swiss Jim says:

Far from a faff. I find staying on the islands and travelling in by public ferry part of the charm. I also assume Hyatt has its own ferry.

    • Rob says:

Not ideal for a first timer to Venice but I’d actually recommend it for a change if you’ve been before.

Same reason I enjoyed Hilton Venice last year.

    • BSI1978 says:

Ref the hotel ferry/boat, I booked this hotel a few months ago but had to cancel. Before I cancelled received an email from the hotel offering a boat transfer/collection for €19 pp.

      • Sandgrounder says:

Thanks everyone, with this deal I can get two nights for £150, I’ll see if Emyr can do anything, it’s on the Amex Travel list for $100/upgrade for an extra £80 so maybe something will be available.
